So the Kaala trailer is finally here, and I have a huge complaint about it! Before all Rajini fans throw stones at me, hear it out- Kaala trailer is just too short! At just one and a half minute duration, the trailer is nearly as long as the teaser. And yet, we have to say that Rajinikanth is pure awesomeness as Karikaalan aka Kaala. He plays a slum-lord in Dharavi who is at loggerheads with a local politician, played by National award-winning actor Nana Patekar.

Since Rajinikanth has already made his entry into politics, the trailer of Kaala plays into his mass appeal and his leader image. So we have scenes in the trailer of people hailing Thalaiva, the superstar speaking of a mass revolution and his fight against the baddies. Then there is also some sort of love triangle going on between Rajinikanth, Huma Qureshi and Eswari Rao.
