KGF Chapter 1 was released on December 21 last year. The action movie, which starred Yash and Srinidhi in the lead, has been directed by Prashanth Neel and was dubbed in four other languages. What took everyone by surprise was the fact that KGF did exceedingly well not only in Kannada but in all other languages as well - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu or Malayalam. The movie was released in 2,460 screens in India and became the first Kannada film to witness such huge release.
