The trailer of Netflix India's Sacred Games Season 2 has finally arrived and it looks everything that we had hoped for. The suspense is double this time as the new characters enter the show while the old ones face tough challenges at hand. Nawazuddin and Saif Ali Khan are back as Ganesh Gaitonde and Sartaaj Singh to suck us into the world of crime.
The trailer of Netflix India's much-awaited web series, Sacred Games' Season 2 is finally here. Fans of the series had been eagerly waiting for the second season and now the wait is over. The second season promises an equal amount of intrigue and we also get to see some new characters in the trailer as Ranvir Shorey and Kalki Koechlin now join this wicked world of Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). The trailer like its first season, shows us the characters in two timelines. There's much more focus on Pankaj Tripathi's character of Guruji who was merely introduced in the first season. From this trailer, it seems he will be playing a key character who shapes the story in this season. While we see Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey in glimpses, we are yet to find out what their characters in the series are. In the opening shot of the trailer, we see Nawazuddin's Gaitonde reappearing and a shocked Bunty (Jatin Sarna) as he receives a call from him. The second season will also show Gaitonde's rise as the crime lord in Kenya. We bet you are excited to see how Gaitonde went on from becoming Mumbai's dreaded gangster to Kenya. The first season of the series was based on Vikram Chandra's best-selling novel by the same name and was co-directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane.
For the second season, director Anurag Kashyap has helmed the portions involving Gaitonde's story whereas the plotline involving Saif Ali Khan's Sartaaj has been directed by Neeraj Ghaywan.
