The statement, which sends a diplomatic message to Islamabad, comes a couple of days after the Crown Prince was a signatory to a joint statement issued with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan -- which condemned the attempts to "politicising" the list of UN-designated global terrorists.

Analysts in India said the Islamabad-Riyadh joint statement was a snub to India, which has demanded action against Maulana Masood Azhar, the leader of JeM which has executed various cross-border terror attacks.

Notably, the militant attack in Pulwama last Thursday had claimed the lives of 40 CRPF personnel. In a major diplomatic outreach, India reached out to 25 countries, seeking condemnation of the terror strike. The first among to react was P-5 member France, which has decided to move a fresh resolution against Masood Azhar.
