When US English comes up with new words which are not in Queen's Repertoire, most Indians happily accept them. But Indianisms are taboo even after getting accepted in the Oxford English Dictionary.😥🤔

Tharoor's letter requested for reconsideration of the announcement made by the University pertaining to the exam dates. The recent notification by the University of Kerala said that the exams which were scheduled from September 3, 2019 will now commence from August 30, 2019.
Tharoor asked the University to also take into account the floods in Kerala and how that might have impacted preparation of the students. There were many students who expressed their gratitude to the MP as well but the trolls dominated the exchange on Twitter, expressing shock and disbelief to see Tharoor using the word "prepone".
